For use in decanters, Scott recommends the same amount of spray time as for a 750ml bottle. However, please note that some decanter stops are made haphazardly as an afterthought. This is a great product. The price, especially if you buy 12 is great. It is simple and does exactly what is needed (puts a thin layer of inert gas over your wine). I have kept an open bottle drinkable for a month with this and I am sure more is possible. This is so cheap and simple compared to the highly fussy and expensive systems out there. A bottle is a great gift for a wine-loving friend.
