Silent! Moves lots of air. Had it for 4 months an no issue. Would buy againIs this a fan moves a lot of air that is fairly quiet to me. Levels one through three you cannot even hear the motor.We had some trouble getting it paired to the remote we thought it was defective. You have to hold the center key of the remote down for at least 20 seconds or more and then press all the buttons until it starts to work.The DC motor only cost $4 a year to run.We love this fan. We have a lot going on in the kitchen visually, but I was desperate for air movement in there. This is our fourth Minka fan (the rest are in different rooms) and it fit the low-profile yet cool looking and efficient requirements. Works great, fabulous air movementI have 3 other minka Aire fans. This is the 1st slant that I have bought. It is probably just the Box that I received, but it seems like somebody had tried to use it before. there were no installation instructions and a few parts were missing. When I put it together the fan would work but the light would not. Also it made a pretty large humming noise when running. So I cannot recommend this particular fan but overall the brand works great. I have 3 other minka fans in my house and they are fantasticPerfect for my smaller bedroom. Visitors don't have to get out of bed to turn off or on.Unique and compliments my bedroom.Looks great, works great, very quietI replaced an old ceiling fan with this unit. 3 blade and interesting look. And Minka Aire customer service is great as I had a question about the remote.This makes 3 Minka Aire fans and I'm getting another soon
