This light packs huge throw in a pocket carry-able size. I use it for work where I need to see things far away in complete darkness from outside in the blazing sun. Most flashlights, and even large spotlights, fall flat on their face in these settings, but this one shines through. The color temperature is also balanced and does not wash out most colors, i.e. I can tell the difference between brass and stainless fittings from 35+ feet, and overcomes photonic barriers like a champ. The diffuser works well, but I usually go without it because it makes an already large head even longer, and it is a little much for pocket carry already. But, it sure beats carrying a huge spotlight around. It's been very durable, but it does get HOT using it for more than a few minutes at a time. Battery life is similar to full-size, high-power LED flashlights with the same 18650 batteries, so I'm happy with that.
