I got Oribe’s Côte d’ Azur soap because I wanted to try something different than L’occitane refill soap (which is really good hand and body soap). I saw a review which said Côte d’ Azur was some good stuff, and they were right. Just a little goes a long way. So little, I had to limit the amount of soap that comes out of the dispenser by wrapping a 4mm wire around the bottle neck.This soap smells amazing. When I first opened the package, I took a few minutes to enjoy the smell.Côte d’ Azur lathers very well. I recommend wetting the hands first, and then drawing the soap. Don’t put your hands under the water while lathering. Lather for 6-13 seconds and you’ll see that little bit will spread a long way. When I used a full pump from my dispenser, I was able to lather from fingernails past my elbows. Lastly, of course, rinse thoroughly.I recommend using a lotion after each, or every few uses because this soap is good at stripping oils from the skin. Any time I needed to wash my hands multiple times in a short amount of time, I noticed my hands drying out.As far as value, I say it’s worth the price if you and anyone else who is using the soap is capable of conserving product. If not, this soap will go away far too fast, and money will be washed down the drain. It would be wise to inform guests or fellow home-dwellers of how far just a little of this soap goes.
