This Genial 1-Oil Gliga violin model is dedicated to adult beginner's level or to child 'improvers'. It is handmade in the workshop of the award-winning violin maker Vasile Gliga, from Reghin (This famous violin-making town has been a Centre of Excellence for over 300 years), Romania, with over 27 years of experience, knowledge and confidence to properly offer you the best stringed instruments: violin, viola, cello, double-bass. The Master Luthier Vasile GLIGA is member of VSA - Violin Society of America and of the NAMM (National Association of music Merchants). The violinmaker is one of the few luthiers who have received the world recognition at the International Triennial Competition of Stringed Instruments "Antonio Stradivari", from Cremona. He features in the catalogue of the Cremona Contest at the 11th position, taking part in the Contest of Violin-makers from Mittenwald, Germany as well. His finest workmanship was also appreciated by the greatest American violinist Sir Yehudi Menuhin himself.

This 4/4 full-size Genial 1-Oil violin is handcrafted from aged European wood, that has been natural dried. For the top we use Solid wood Carpathian Resonance Spruce and for the sides, neck and back we use Flamed - Solid Carpathian Maple.
This stringed instrument is hand varnish and it feature hand inlaid purfling, the fittings are hand carved from exotic wood, high-quality ebony. The fittings are professionally installed and adjusted to meet or exceed MENC specifications and standards.

This Gliga violin is awesome. It is well worth the money. It says beginner student violin, but it sounds better, plays better and looks better than any beginner violin that I have ever seen or heard. It is set up and ready to play. My granddaughter loves it! No more violin rental for playing in the high school orchestra.
