This tool met my needs, and then some.A couple points of concern: First the bolt that provided tensioning for the chain came loose during operation and fell out. I eventually found the bolt, and am now careful to be sure that it remains secure. The cutting diameter is actually greater than advetized, so you can finesse this to do bigger projects. The chain oil is a bit of a mess, but the product information had made that clear. I'm happy to keep it lubricated so that the performance stays first-rate.The tightening nut for changing the angle did not hold tight out of the box. This baby goes through the bar oil really fast, so pay attention to that often, the bar will thank you. I may try to add a bigger tank to the outside if I can match threads. Easy to put together, light weight, cuts great even extended. I wasn't even expecting something this capable for the $75.00 that I paid at the time. Will work good enough for the few times a year that I will need it, and a lot cheaper than a big name battery operated saw. Just be careful, it is still a chainsaw on a long pole.I bought this in 2016. Use it every year. And it is late 2022 and still works great.Just add bar/chain oil and plug it in. Cuts great. Haven’t changed the blade/ chain ever. For the money the saw works great. I beat it up and you can tell it's kinda cheap but it's still all in one piece and still cuts well.I had been waiting over a year for my husband to trim trees hanging over our fence which were above my reach with cutters. I contemplated buying a pole with a saw from big box store. I recalled seeing this saw advertised on QVC multiple times. It appeared easy to use, and I liked not having to pull cord to start. I was worried about power with electric. My husband has a Stihl Farmboss, but he had not been able to start it, and I was over waiting. Besides, we could not use it 15-20 feet in the air. I am very independent and cannot stand waiting for action, especially almost 2 years. I was over the mulberry trees making a mess on our pool patio.I have a special needs son who is a hard worker who help run it. First off, it was very easy to put together. I first put on the chain backwards because I did not look at the provided picture. But I already knew how to take apart and put back together. I was shocked how well and fast it cut!!!! We had all branches and a six year old weeping willow down in less than an hour. I still had not told my husband I had bought it. I didn't want to tell him in case it didn't work. When he got home I showed it off. He was amazed and tried to start his farm boss again. It would not start, and he had no idea what was wrong with it.A few weeks later, I decided I was not going to pay $1200 plus without trying to taking down a 30+ foot pine tree that was 6 feet from my house. I had a plan. I am only 5' 3", so I'm not very tall. I was raised in farm country and am used to hard work in the fields and barns. I knew I had to work in small sections. My son and I began one limb at a time. The pole goes out to 9 ft, but I am not able to use trigger and lift at the same time. My son ran the trigger, and I lifted the saw in the center of the pole to rest it in the cutting spot. He squeezed trigger on demand. I had planned to surprise my husband when he got home from work, but he came home early. I jumped right in and helped. He was shocked how well it cut and how much we had done. We cut the tree branches from the trunk nearly 20 feet in the air with my husbands help. He tried to start his farm boss again because the trunk is nearly 2 ft in diameter. It would not start. We still had a good 10 feet on top. We decide we would cut a pie piece out and then come in the back at an angle with a guide rope around it being held on ground, so it would fall on our house or the neighbors house. By this time, our neighbor returned home and offered to lend a hand. He began using the saw. He asked how much I payed for it and was blown away. So, he cut the trunk as we had planned, and my husband and I held the rope. Down it came as planned. We had just taken down a huge spruce tree that stood taller than the peak of our 2 story house with this little electric pole saw. We then cut it up and hauled the tree parts we did not keep to the landfill in 3 loads in an f250. It was a huge tree!!! Buy this saw! I am able to accomplish so much on my own and save money doing it. It is worth far more than the amount you will pay and will be worth every single penny. It could be lighter, but other than that it's an amazing product it definitely gets the job done. I'm glad I ordered it and shipping was very surprisingly fast. Thank you!Does way more than I was expecting it to do ...Battery life could be longer...but by the time I've run the Battery down it's time to stack or trim leaves with the Bill blade or go rest... which gives ample time for the Battery to Recharge...Have even been cutting quite large Limbs and trunks with it...just because I'm too lazy to go fire up the gas saw...Despite all the negatives I have listed, I still like it very much, even it it may be because this is the first chainsaw I have owned, ever.Pros:- Very smooth and easy to use telescoping handle- Very clear and easy to follow written instructions on how to setup and use- Murders unwanted and hard to reach branches- Minimal vibrationCons:- It has no counterweight on the handle, so it feels very heavy unless used at steep angles- Cutting blade doesn't cut as quick as I wish it does- Surprisingly loud for an electric motor- The trigger switch is only on or off and doesn't allow you to throttle- Bar Oil tank is very small and runs out quicklyI don't know how this junk got such high ratings by some. Here's the real deal: First off, all the weight is at the saw end and it has no midpole handle to help you balance it if you go off the vertical orientation. That alone made it pretty much useless. You should not cut overhead branches and most definately NOT work off a ladder as both are dangerous. Having said these two limiting factors, my practical reach was maybe 6 ft not this fantasy that they put in the ad. I cut about a 1 1/2 inch branch and it pinched it into a stall before i was finally able to get it going again and finish cutting. I sent it back afterwards. I regret not renting a real one at the tool rentals. This tool is must have if you have trees and shrubs higher than your chest. It extends out to a good length and lops off limbs like butter. It saved a lot of time compared to a manual rip saw, and made impossible tree trimming jobs possible. If you stand on a 6' step ladder you will get about 25' or about 8m reach pending but is good enough to trim most average trees in your yard. Important tip is that you need to keep refilling the chain oil. It goes through it quickly and without that you could snap your chain in no time. This saw works well, but the whole weight of the saw is at the cutting end of the pole, motor as well as chain, and this, when you add the lever moment of the pole, makes it exhausting to use. OK for strong young men but if you are not in that category then consider getting a pruning attachment to a brush-cutter where the weight of the motor is at the held-end of the pole, not the chain end.I purchased this saw to get those high branches and save time and energy. But instead this saw couldnt even cut through a 2" branch. I had high hopes and big expectations, but was let down almost immediately out of the box. I'm hoping I just got a "bad one" but this experience was atrocious.
