On the one hand, this Roman faucet trim kit was exactly what I wanted and look great in my recently renovated bathroom. Hence, the high rating. I knew when I purchased it that it did not come with a valve kit, which cost me $100+ in addition to the purchase price of the trim kit. So, don't be fooled by thinking you're getting a bargain.Installation, however, is another matter. I am to the point in life where I no longer want to stretch out on the floor to install new plumbing fixtures in a cramped, dark hole, so hired someone to do it for me. The task ended being way above his pay grade and I incurred additional costs to have two plumbers come out: the first to say that he couldn't reach under the tub to replace the valve and the second to actually do the work - both grumbling all the way.Lessons learned: (1) Know that in many cases the trim kit (this item) alone is insufficient for the job. You will also have to pay for a valve. (2) If you have not installed a tub faucet and valve before, hire someone else to do it for you. You probably won't like the bill if you don't. (3) Make sure your contractor has installed tub faucets before. They require more skills than a simple sink faucet.All that said, now that the faucet is installed and actually working correctly, I am very happy with the purchase and my new bathroom.
