I did work as a licensed gunsmith. I had purchased many solvents and did a simple test. I shot 200+ shells of skeet removed the choke tubes and soaked them in the different solvent solutions. Lucas solvent made cleaning the choke tube easier. One solvent did better at cleaning the coke tubes but it promoted rust in my simple test, which removed it in my opinion. Lucas solvent is worth the price, little hard to find. I recommend buying in bulk, 64oz. Last a long time. I have no affiliation to Lucas. I'm a patron too.
