What do I do with the weeds once they are cut? Once you've cut the pond weeds with the Weed Razer, we recommend removing the cut vegetation from the water. The Weed Razer is remarkably sharp and cut the lily pads off quickly. The only drawback for us is that our large (1500 gallons) home-built pond/waterfalls does not have a flat bottom so the Razer cannot follow the ponds bottom to cut the pads at their base. But that's okay, it cuts the pads off where it can reach them so the massive amount of pads themselves were quickly removed.I taped the rope to the handle because we do not need to toss the unit out to drag back. The long handle works well for our pond. We no longer have to get into the pond to remove the pads, so the risk of damaging the pond bottom is eliminated.10/20/24 Update: I had a minor problem with corrosion on the Razer's long handle. After reporting it to the Razer company they immediately responded and sent me another unit. It still worked fine as I had reported earlier but their customer care took care of me as good as it could be. They stood behind their product! It still works great for those pesky lily pads and I thank them for helping me with the minor issue. Folks, do not hesitate to order this fine equipment for clearing out your water-plant issues!
