There are too many companies out there making boots that are just garbage. I spent twenty-four years in the U.S. Army as an Infantryman so I know a little bit about boots. The Belleville company makes excellent boots. I first saw the model 700 Belleville boots when I was a Drill Sergeant because they were issued to Basic Trainees for a short time, I later found out they stopped issuing them because of cost. At first I didn’t like them because they looked more like a work boot than a tactical combat boot, but even then I knew they were well made. Years later after I retired and got into law enforcement I bought a pair of them and I loved them. The agency I was working for was issuing a very poor quality of boot my feet simply couldn’t deal with, they hurt to wear and fell apart after for months of use. These Belleville boots, at least in my line of work will last a good two years, likely even more, if you take care of them by occasionally polishing them once in a while to prolong the life of the leather. Of course the sole of the boots will wear down over time especially with rigorous use but the boots themselves will remain intact for a very long time. I highly recommend these boots to anyone who is looking for high quality, long lasting boots that are also very comfortable to wear.As a side note - I once ordered a pair of these same boots that arrived with a manufacturing flaw. I contacted the Belleville company with an email complete with photos to show the problem. Belleville sent me a shipping label, gave me the date and a time frame when UPS would deliver a new pair of boots. UPS arrived on the correct date and time frame, handed me the box with the new pair of boots and I handed the UPS driver the flawed boots in the box with the shipping label and that was it. Excellent customer service from a company that makes an excellent product and cares about their customers’ satisfaction.
