It has become increasingly difficult to find bathroom fixtures and lighting in a chrome finish. I'm sure happy to have found this one.I prefer chrome to the newer finishes. It's so easy to keep clean, and looks lovely when it is all shined up and it adds a little twinkle of reflected light here and there.The purchase of this fixture was the result of a long search to find something that didn't look industrial or cheap. I am quite pleased with the look of it, as it's not garish, industrial or angular.Installation was a little challenging.I'm not tall. Not short either. But even with my three step ladder I had a little trouble reaching across the vanity to attach it to the base without damaging the freshly painted walls. It wanted to wiggle and I couldn't hold it still with one hand. The bolts that hold it on were a bit too long and I had to make multiple adjustments to them before I could get the ball shaped cap nuts to tighten down enough to mount it securely.To protect the paint, I taped (gentle tape) some paper to the wall where the fixture would rub while making adjustments, then removed it prior to the final tightening. Worked great, not a single mark on the wall.The little ball shaped cap nuts are slick and hard to get a grip on to tighten down nice and snug. Rubber gloves for the win!The fixture is a great value for the money. Well build, beautifully finished. It's a quality fixture. It also came with a tool for tightening the nuts on the shades. It worked perfectly.I don't "love" the shape of the shades. The way they turn under and inside at the bottom .. I don't like that. It makes more places for dust settle and is not a "flowing" shape that's easy on the eye. Overall the shades are kind of "meh". They could have been prettier with an alabaster look glass and a cleaner bell shape.But, I still love the fixture. I can always change the shades out if I decide to.
