I have only had to this product for two weeks when four days ago, it stopped working properly. I set the humidifier to 45% in sleep mode and it stayed at 42% all night. When I lifted the top off, the water level had not decreased. I then let it run all day, set at 50% and the highest it got to was 47% with most of the water still in the tank.Customer support responded and provided some helpful information on the product. To be continued....Like most such small humidifiers I did not expect this one to raise the humidity of even a small room. This type of humidifier works in the immediate area and that's it. I have my independent hygrometer located across the room from the humidifier and the humidity level never increases no matter how long I have the unit running. In its favor the unit is very quiet.I bought it for my bedside, but it is useless for that because the controls are illuminated too brightly and you can't control the intensity of the brightness or turn them off completely without shutting down the unit. So, if you like to sleep in a dark room don't buy this model. Even turning the unit to face the wall didn't help as its lighted control panel illuminated the wall! I now have it in the seating area near a gas fireplace and it works OK for that immediate area.The controls are simple enough to use and the remote is handy. Two things I have noticed. One is that you must be sure to seat the water container very firmly in the unit. If it is not pressed in properly the unit does not produce vapor, more a waterspout and this deposits water on the top of the unit itself and its surroundings. Secondly, as far as I can see there is virtually no difference in the vapor output from the five different vapor output settings. There's just about as much output from setting one, the lowest, as there is from setting five, the highest. So, that's a pretty useless function.If you want something that will humidify the immediate area around where you are sitting and that is very quiet, it works just fine. But don't expect it to raise the overall humidity of even a small room. And don't buy it for the bedroom unless you are comfortable with a bright light on all night.It works really well, love that it holds as much water as it does. The only feedback for adjustment is that that LED light on the inside you can not turn off, instructions say to hold a certain button but it doesn’t work.This machine is the best I've ever purchased; real easy to set the humidity % and mist level; the remote makes setting the machine levels simple. I bought the machine for my dog who has bronchitis. It made a huge improvement in her sleeping thru the night with less coughing. The only thing I think the manufacturer should do is have a led up and down adjustment for the display, for it's kinda bright. It's such a great machine, so that's not a disqualifier; I just turn the machine 180° and have it face the wall after I get it going for the nightA lot of thought has went into the designing of this humidifier..the water chamber is very easy to fill as well as clean.It comes with a small instruction booklet.. instructions are pretty clear..however each button has dual purpose..the mist is ok at one but if you like lots of mist you will need to go to 4or5.There is a ionization feature which can prove to be good ..I like the HuPro and it also has a remote and essential oil tray....consider a good purchase...It was the most perfect and quickest service I've ever received.
