Designed for LS engine retrofit installations for GM muscle/classic car and truck chassis requiring more oil pan to chassis clearance around the front half of the oil pan.
Oil pan #302-2 may not be used with LS7 engines or “stroker” engines greater than 3.62”.Can be used anywhere for GM F-Body oil pan can be used.Provides maximum clearance for vehicles where the steering linkage is behind the engine crossmember.
Cast and machined aluminum.Complete kit includes sump baffle, OE style pick-up tube, sump plug, oil filter stud, oil passage cover, etc. Maximum crankshaft stroke = 3.62"
Total Oil Capacity with stock oil filter – 6.2 Quarts. Sump Oil Capacity – 5.7 Quarts. Requires use of LS3 dipstick (for GM P/N 12634547) and tube (for GM P/N 12625031).

Decent pan, not super enthused about the drain plug having a heli-coil in it. I’ll probably just drill and re-tap it for a bigger bolt. Other than that seems like it will work.So far so good; comes with everything shown. Needed to make some mods to the full length windage tray that came in my LY5 and everything fits. I’ll let y’all know if I make it down the road. Going in a 79 Monte Carlo.Its a decent quality oil pan. Had a couple clearance issues. There is one boss on the pan I had to grind down (plenty of meat there) to clear the supplied pick up tube. I also had to modify the sump tray for my lokar dipstick. Other then that it seems to be a quality pan kit.works good and low profileWe used this oil pan on the LS motor we were put in our '71 Chevelle. Looks good and the clearance was great.Oil filter boss wasn't machined/tapped correctly and caused the adapter to cross thread making it useless after spending ALOT of time getting it installed on a 67 Firebird.nice oil pan. machined very nicely and fit perfect. delivery was fast and on time. highly recommend.this pan is high quality and everything lines up nice. the pickup tube uses two bolts to secure to pump instead of one and lines up well with the studs and windage tray. the windage tray does have to be trimmed back to clear shallow front area but simple to do.worked as advertised.
