This is my first pair of Merrell safety toe boots. They are very comfortable right out of the box and the fit is perfect. There is plenty of toe room and a lot of cushion. I always change out my insoles for power step pinnacles for high arches and that just makes it even more comfortable. Lots of traction. The laces are stretchy but I think that will go away after a few days of wearing. Overall a great boot so far. There is a lot of toe room and I didn'thave to size up. These in size11 wide are similar to safety toe Keens in 11 ½ wide. Keens seem to have a tighter toe box in a lot of new models. .....I will update in the future if I have any issues or any additional praise....One month update:Even though they are very comfortable out of the box, after about a week they are even better. The first few days I could very slightly feel the carbon toe rubbing against my one big toe. That completely went away and these are now my favorite safety toe boots. I initially said that the laces are stretchy. They are also thicker than any of my other laces. I think that makes them stronger. There are little teeth on the top eyslet that grab the laces and hold them tight. The traction is great indoors and out. I've been on wet tile & concrete alot and a bit of wet grass & snow with no slipping. These are worthy
