This silver chest is great ! Reed and Barton knows what a silver chest needs to do for you and they have done it well without breaking your wallet with this silver chest ! I have had it for a few months and not a dot of tarnish through a hot and humid summer ! It holds my grandmothers silver set plus extra peices. It is a bit less roomy inside than mine which is now almost forty years old. Mine also cost 250.00 forty years ago and is solid cherry . That said I would have no problem displaying this chest next to my old one . I am very happy that I could fit so much into it. I was worried after reading some reviews since I needed the chest for an old silver set plus extra serving pieces . This product surpassed my expectations . I am very pleased with it as I wanted all to fit . I wanted something attractive . And most of all I wanted a chest which was well treated to be tarnish free .
