I bought two decanters at the same time, one was ~$30 dollars and this one ~$120. As far as the quality of the glass this one is shinier, has sharper lines, and the stopper fits better. I am assuming that's where the 90 extra dollars go's. I have never seen a nicer decanter, so I don't have the experience to compare this to the $300+ ones. IMO worth the money. I do wish they were clearer about the possibility of lead leaching. I am a bit paranoid, so I only store liquor in the container for less than a week.
