My 100 year old home needed a character infusion after years of remodeling had removed much of its original features. These knobs were placed on French doors and immediately gave them a Victorian bent. I ordered Polished brass which is really very gold in color. It's a bit "brassy" and showy - a bit more than I would have preferred, but in keeping with Victorian decor.
