I ordered a double set of “Acadia wood” Sun lounger chairs that were on sale from this VidaxI. I ordered these chairs on August 5th through amazon.ca. I ordered this type of chair to match the “Acadia wood” regular fold out chairs I had already purchased earlier in the spring. And I did not order my existing chairs from Vidaxl!! I received a confirmation from Vidaxl that the sun loungers had been ordered via my email within 24 hours of ordering them. Three days later I received a confirmation email of shipment.The chairs were ordered because I was having a family reunion on September 1 and required the extra seating.Not having received the chairs by August 15, I sent an email inquiring where my shipment was because I was tracking the shipment via the tracking number they gave me, and it listed my products as being stuck in transit. I did not get a response! I proceeded to send two other emails and still did not receive a response.On August 26 via the tracking number they gave me it stated that my package had been delivered on August 24. Not to me it wasn’t! So once again, I sent an email asking what was going on. After two days, (now August 28 and my family reunion was now four days away) I received a response, stating that the packages had been returned to Vidaxl. When I asked why, no one could give me an explanation.Then they stated that they were now out of stock on the items and that I had a choice to wait and receive my items when they came back into stock or to get a complete refund. This out of stock statement did not sit well with me because Vidaxl had just had them return to their warehouse, so why could they not just ship them back to me??! A question I asked their representative and once again no one could give me an answer. I chose to wait and not take the refund. Expecting that this would work because it was way too late to receive them for my family reunion, but I’d still get the chairs I wanted to match my existing “Acadia wood” chairs.Within one week, I received two packages, and excitedly brought them home and opened them up to find that they were nothing like the chairs I originally ordered! Not only were they not the right measurements to fit where I wanted the chairs to go, but they were not made of the same wood, they were structurally different by a mile, and a large amount of assembly was required!Ironically, later that day, I received an email stating they were sent by mistake and to please return to sender and I would get a full refund! Well, wasn’t this convenient… I had already excepted them from the post office. Which I might add, is ironic because they were originally supposed to come to me via Purolator, and it was Purolator that sent the packages back to the sender in the first order, (plus Vidaxl stated they had a contract with Purolator and that it was there only delivery system) yet now I receive them via Canada post…??? And since I already excepted them from the post office; because the email requesting me to send them back came to late; this meant I am now paying shipping fees to get these two large bulky packages sent back to Vidaxl… (I checked… It was going to cost me well over $100 to get these packages sent back and that amount would not be refunded to me). I now have to keep these two sun loungers or send them back at my own expense and end up being out or giving up well over $100. And for chairs I didn’t want and I am not happy with! Also, I had already told them I wanted to wait for the chairs I had originally ordered to come back in stock, and that I did not want a refund because of this! This company is not dependable, reliable or even legitimate! They seem to evade contact with their customers and when you do make contact, they have no answers that are satisfactory! The representatives seem to have no clue what they are doing! This company is running blind, and obviously their customer service staff have no training! Evasion seems to be their business tactic! I would say the whole company is sneaky and underhanded, run by adolescence who have no clue what business is or what it’s supposed to be! And they have nothing but disregard and disrespect for their customer base! They are going to rip you off one way or another. At the very least they are going to screw up your plans! They make no apologies for their tactics, they do not operate with any type of knowledge or offer any type of compensation for what they put you through! And their tactics are criminal like! In my opinion, this company is a huge SCAM and I can’t believe that Amazon has excepted them as a client! I would never recommend this company to anyone! I had to give them one star to even get this review out to the public! If I could give them a star rating in the negative… I absolutely would!
