This particular oil pan review is for a GM 3800 V6 Supercharged. The fit and finish is terrific. Everything lined up as it should. I used a brand new oil pan gasket, which involved removing the oil pick-up tube. There is plenty of room to perform an oil pan gasket change on this particular engine. No removing of the front cover is necessary. The reason I replaced this pan was because the original pan was smashed in from a previous service of changing the belts. Make sure to use a piece of wood that is longer than the oil pan to hold the engine up while removing the mount to change the belts on this engine. One last note, this engine uses an oil level sensor, which must be removed prior to dropping the pan. I had a little bit of difficulty threading the plastic fine threads back into the new oil pan, as there was paint on the pan threads. I did manage to slowly get it in there, with a new o-ring.
