Assembly was very straight forward, I don't remember even using the instruction. Put some water in it just to confirm no leak. Moving 3/4 full with water present no issue, but did have some splashing. I definitely keep this in mind when it is oil, but it would take multiple car oil change before we get to this point.I got this because I do my own oil change, between my parents' car and my wife's car, I am changing 4 vehicles every 4 to 6 months. I have other oil pans, but the opening for those are much smaller, a big gust of wind would cause oil to splash all over my drive way. This basically have the entire top open, so splash at all for the 5 oil changes I have done so far.The issue I ran into is the oil pump still leave significant about of oil. I installed a 3 way valve, once the oil becomes too low for the pump to push out, I open the value and drain into a small pan to drain everything out. I shorten the length of the hose because it is too long.
