For those who are unsure of what Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea) is, it’s NOT your regular Common Sage (Salvia officinalis) from your kitchen cabinet.Purchased this oil after much thought (and research, of course) after having purchased several other oils from R V Essential. Also, never been disappointed in the least with their products (they’re FSSAI certified — most, if not all of their products).The following properties can be attributed to this oil. It is an antidepressant, anticonvulsive, antispasmodic, antiseptic, astringent, bactericidal, carminative, deodorant, digestive, emmenagogue (induces or increases menstrual flow), hypotensive, hormone balancing, nervine, sedative, stomachic, and a uterine substance.Used it topically by blending it with a carrier oil. The note is amazing. It’s earthy, green, herbaceous and moist (if that makes sense). To my nose it registers primarily as green in color, if I were to translate olfactory perceptions to visual, it’s made of light and dark green accents. It has elements of lavender, eucalyptus, a hint of tea tree, green tea, henna in its odor profile, and also has elements of lemon zest.It was a worthy purchase. I’d recommend this especially to those who have insomnia, nausea, morning sickness, and hormonal imbalances (to those who suffer from PCOS/PCOD).Mix one part of this to ten or eleven parts of any carrier oil like coconut, almond or any carrier oil of choice and apply it topically as and when needed. Or pour a drop or three on a hand towel and inhale.I hope this helps!
