The 72 inch Tornado ceiling fan lives up to it name with terrific air movement. The basic design of the high performance motor is a tried-and-trusted spinner-type (no outer housing) that has been around since the 1970s. Safety codes require this fan be mounted 10 feet high so it is often deemed an Industrial Ceiling Fan.

I needed a very specific fan, A/C motor with metal blades. I wanted to use an in wall smart switch, outdoors, and the blades are very close to a ceiling heater. This is about the only thing that exists to fit those requirements. If I didn’t have those specific requirements, a more modern fan would definitely have been used in its place. On high speed it’s a bit loud, and it doesn’t move too much air when compared to modern fans with more blades. Regardless, I’m not disappointed, it’s just an older design fan, so expectations were met. More blades would be a welcome change though.
