Premium 4/0 Gauge Industrial Grade Welding Cable - Extra Flexible, Sunlight/Oil/Chemical/UV Resistant (10ft Red + 10ft Black) - Ideal for Automotive, Marine & Heavy-Duty Welding Applications

Purchased this cable thinking the 4/0 pure copper as advertised would fit my needs. Installed in my RV for inverter supply cables. I ran my air conditioner for around 20 minutes pulling 130-140 DC amps from batteries and these cables started to get really hot and melt the heat shrink on cable ends as well as the cable sheathing. Turned off Air Conditioner to avoid a catastrophic fire. Pure copper cables these are not. They are copper clad aluminum and won't carry high amperage continuous loads required in RV battery banks using inverters. I am out roughly $70 for this false advertising as I have replaced all this junk with pure copper cables.
