It seems to be well made. It is definitely waterproof. I received it just before we had a couple of days of nonstop rain and i stayed dry and warm in the cold winter rain. I got the 4X which is a little on the big side but allows plenty of room to wear hoodie or light jacket if the temperature gets too cold.
