We needed a new lamp for our foyer as the old one was pretty terrible. We were a little hesitant to order one online. The lamp came very well packed and all the seeded glass was intact. The oil rubbed bronze finish is delicately highlighted. Installing it was a little tricky only because of its weight — it is substantial — but my husband put up some temporary hooks in the ceiling to slide nylon cords through, creating a pulley system. We slowly raised the lamp up using the cords; I steadied the lantern briefly while he attached the wiring, then removed the hooks. The lantern is perfect for the foyer, casts sparkling light from its four candleholders. It is especially beautiful at night. We have it on a dimmer so we can adjust the light intensity.
