My mom's vintage pedestal sink in her victorian home was looking rough, and wasn't restorable (and wasn't original to the house, anyway). Needed something to make it look nice and function well without changing the character. This faucet seems well made, sturdy, and doesn't have any details that give away that it's new. We didn't change the faucet in the claw foot tub next to the sink because it is still shiny and looks good, and it's not noticeable that one is new and one isn't.
