I have a corner shower, 40"x40", with a 9 foot ceiling and tile that goes up to 83" from the floor of the shower pan. It's lovely, but a headache to enclose. Glass is not only expensive, but my water is hard enough to give you a concussion during a shower.I basically have to use a shower curtain and for years I had an IKEA ceiling rail with a custom 108" shower curtain. All my finishes are oil rubbed bronze so the aluminum really stuck out, to me.I saw this and wondered where it was 10 years ago. I ordered it, it arrived undamaged and I put it up immediately. The instructions are adequate but it's not rocket science.I threw away the cheap wall mollies they supply and used my own heavy duty anchors, but I couldn't use the ORB screws. I painted the silver screw heads with brown nail polish.I had to trim both lengths of tubing, but it cut easily on my miter saw with a wood blade in it. It's aluminum tube so you could probably use a copper tubing cutter or a hacksaw if that's all you have. You put the cut ends in the brackets so it doesn't have to be perfect.Once up, I installed the ceiling support and hung my still unusually long, but commercially available, 84" shower curtains. Yes, plural. One for each side.The rod is sturdy, doesn't sag and because it's aluminum, it won't rust. It looks great and I'm very happy with it.
