Worked great as an aftercooler for an air compressor. My compressor puts out 25 cfm and the outlet air is within 10-15 degrees F of ambient.I was a little concerned with the picture because it was showing 3 parallel tubes, but it has 6 parallel tubes. This is better to minimize flow/maximize time through the individual parallel tubes without restricting flow through the whole exchanger. The NPT female fitting is great to adapt to copper pipe, without expensive AN fittings, but bending my 3/4" OD copper pipe proved challenging. If I had to do it over again I would spend the extra money and get braided stainless PTFE R14-14-ASB hose. You can find online suppliers who will build the hose for you with the required fittings. The copper tube that I found from a compressor supplier was thinner wall and didn't bend without kinking despite trying several methods. I did use some of the old tube with thicker wall which bent better.Even though the hydraulic hose would have been 2x the cost it would be worth it not having to chase down the specialty fittings in 3/4"OD copper and copper tubing itself. Might have a different opinion if it was 1/2" copper, but the hose would also have the added benefit of being vibration resistant with no work hardening and potential cracking. Plus it would've been plug and play.
