I work at the local Jaguar Land Rover dealership, and most of the vehicles that we see in there can have the engine oil sucked out of them. It saves the company money to do it this way, and makes the process of doing an oil change as well as a full inspection faster. They have an extractor, but it is really not very good and the glass is not see through. This one has very powerful suction and clear glass. The gauge gives you an idea of when it is done sucking, and the different thicknesses of extension tubes allow you to get to the brake fluid, engine oil that you have to suck through the dipstick tube, as well as engine oil that is removed via the tube that comes up through the oil cap.
