Oil Pan Gasket for Ford 7. 3 Powerstroke & International T444E includes mounting studs
Until now there has not been an oil pan gasket for the Ford 7. 3 Powerstroke 1994-2003 and International T444E engines, even from the factory the oil pans for these engines were installed with silicone sealant.
Moroso Performance Products came out with this patent pending oil pan gasket that is re-useable and makes life easier for the professional and back yard mechanic
Gasket is constructed out of high temperature/oil resistant material with a rigid core and built-in steel inserts at each bolt hole.
Includes mounting studs and nuts
I purchased this gasket because I did not want to remove the motor, and so far it seems to be holding. I did remove the cab bolts and lift the cab, then remove the motor and transmission bolts and jacked up the motor about 8 inches and jacked up the transmission about 2 inches. It really wasn't that bad of a job seeing as it was only a total of 16 bolts in total that had to be removed. You do also need to remove the coolant overflow tank and remove the bolts on the top of the fan shroud, or you will break the shroud if you don't. I also purchased a new pan because they are only $90 and for the amount of time that this takes, I didn't want to take any chances. The total cost was under $200 for the gasket and new pan, compared to the $2000 + dollars it costs for someone to pull your motor, and use gasket maker on your old pan while also most likely messing something else up in the process. Just make sure you clean the bottom of the motor (mating surface) SUPER well, I used a small wire brush and went over it till it was shiny, then use a new pan to ensure there's no old gasket maker left on the old pan or bends in the top of the old pan. I also recommend using grey gasket maker in all the bends and gap points of the bottom of the motor (this may not makes sense but look up a video on youtube and you'll see what I mean). It sounds like for some people it seems the gasket didn't work, but I think it's because they didn't prep properly, meaning cleaning the surface well and using a new pan. Hope this helps someone and yes, the gasket seems to be working so far.
