We picked this up as part of a facelift of our front porch. I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical at first (seemed a bit pricey for a mailbox), but am now a convert. This is a very solidly built mailbox, and looks good too.I can only find two things to find (minor) fault with. First off, the mailbox comes with screws (about 2" long) to attach it to your porch wall -- but no anchors should you be anchoring into brick. Given the depth of the fasteners provided / needed to hold this hefty box up, getting some may require a special trip to the hardware store for you. And since the screw heads are exposed when the mailbox is installed, you can't really use some other fasteners without them being visually obtrusive (the screws provided are color-matched to the box). Second, the color of this box is listed as copper, but it's really more of a copper-hinted brown. So if you're looking for something with a metallic sheen, you might want to think twice. Think old, oxidized penny and you're close to this guy's color.Anyway, those relatively minor nits aside, I'm looking forward to years of service from this item. It's built like a tank, and powder coated -- so should hold up to the weather nicely.
