The unit came with a US 110 v adapter on the end of the power cord. At 110 volts it would not even boil 750 ml of water. This is a 220 volt unit. Putting an adapter on it does not make it work as advertised.I purchased a 220 v transformer and after experimenting with the unit for a while I am happy with it. No where did it say 220v. I've looked again 3 times. The stand and lifter are nice and sturdy. You get what you see. Nice starter kit for distilling if you have 220v outlets in your house. Or buy a 220v x-former at Amazon for $40.
