デザインがとにかく秀逸。このカレンデラックス ブラック&シルバーGTは流線型のシルエットに18金のペン先のデザインが組み込まれキャップのクリップ部分が金、キャップ下回りにも金があしらわれていてキャップのシルバーと合わせてなんとも優雅。これより高価格のスペシャルエディションはキャップ模様が波うち高級感はあるがキャップ、ペン先部分はずべてシルバー色となりエレガントさが失われている。下位モデルのエキスパートエッセンシャルもこのエレガントさに匹敵するモデルはない。パーカー、シェーファーのアメリカ製やモンブラン、ペリカンといったボールペンも持ち合わせているがカレンデラックスに勝るエレガントなボールペンはない。機能的には芯の出し入れに音がするとの投稿もあったが私のはなかった。むしろ捻った時の感覚はCROSSのようにニュート出るタイプでなくバネの構造なのか反動でパンと出る感じ。リフィールは他メーカーとの互換性はない様だが純正で十分な書き心地。コレクションとして一本は持っていたい。
