Tribest Humio HU-1020-B White Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier with Essential Oil Diffuser - Perfect for Bedroom, Nursery & Office Use

I live in a climate that is dry most of the year and I regret not buying this humidifier sooner! I purchased this due to my normally dry sinuses, compounded by pregnancy rhinitis. I was so fed up with pounding sinuses and not being able to sleep because of it, that I bought it at 4am one morning and paid for faster shipping. In the meantime, I purchased a cheaper unit at a local store (Vicks brand) and it seemed to help my sinuses/sleep, but it was significantly louder than the Humio. I was not disappointed after setting up the Humio and using it for just one night. I have now had it for 6 weeks and I think the following are the most important things to note about it:*It is quiet, with a barely audible hum. This is a function of the price; lesser expensive units are louder in general.*The tank lasts around 10 hours on low, and maybe 8 hours on high if you're lucky. (Ideal for night use, not for all day use). Also, the high/low settings don't look much different in the amount of mist that is put out, but they clearly are different since it lasts longer on low. Just something to be aware of.*It automatically shuts of when it runs out of water.*I have been using filtered water (not distilled) with no issues, but I empty the tank and base every morning, and I also soak/clean the unit with white vinegar every week. Once I went two weeks and it started to smell a little musty/mildew-y. It's also important to soak the top/neck in a little white vinegar every week, which I neglected at first and then noticed some pink mildew in it!*Other reviews say its easy to get water in the air intake on the base. Personally I think you have to be pretty clumsy to do that. The manual clearly alerts users to this, so I'm careful with the unit and have had no issues.*I took the unit with me for a weekend away and set it on the floor in a corner for the night. In the morning, the floor and side of the bed were noticeably wet. I don't have this problem at home, with the unit up on a nightstand and in a more open area.*It comes with two features a lot of humidifiers don't: the aromatherapy compartment and the LED lights. These features are purely "personal preference" type things, and you can use the unit just as a humidifier without the lights or aromatherapy. I use a little lavender oil in the aromatherapy compartment and find it really enjoyable.*In short: the unit is attractive, small enough for a bedside table, quiet, and effective. It takes a little work to keep it clean, but seems sturdy overall.Finally... I have to say, the difference in my sleeping patterns is significant. This unit, combined with daily sinus rinses, seems to be the "magic formula" for my sinuses. When our new baby comes and moves into a room of his/her own, I fully intend on buying another unit for the baby's room.
