These handles are beautiful piece of art. But functionally they don’t do the job they were built to do. The handle sticks you pull it down and most times it doesn’t pop back up. The door catch catches when it’s not supposed to. I try to open the door and it doesn’t fully retract the catch so then I have to re-open it and wiggle it and try again again and finally it will release…Then I shut the door and it won’t come back from retracting so it doesn’t come back to catch to keep the door shut. Again, I have to wiggle out a bunch and then it’ll pop out and catch.Usually the handle itself also sticks.Made beautifully feels heavy duty… but does the job it was created for extremely subpar. Extremely. So so disappointed with this item.I also bought the Rose one and it has similar issues. Not quite as bad, but it makes me question this whole brand. Extremely pricey, for very cheaply made mechanics you were paying for the art and you will get extremely poor function. Maybe if you’re using it to just put on a wall and look at.On top of that, maybe it doesn’t bother other people but this style when you install it the handle lovers actually curve different directions on each side of the door. They don’t send you the handles that will match the curve on each side. They send you the same ones so one side is curving up and then you install the other side is curving down.I have been very excited about ordering these knobs for our house and they completely disappoint in actual function, which is what a doorknob is… basic need. Nostalgia please fix your door knobs because I would love to buy more for their beauty that I actually need function for my exterior doors or really any of my doors.
