I bought 3 of these for my patio, I had to put lead weights on my little boys legs to keep him from blowing away. It’s like a tornado on my patio, the bugs don’t stand a chance. Its like a bug zapper on the patio hearing them hit the fan blades. These bad boys work with a rheostat so you can get better control if you don’t want to use the pull chains. They are incredibly small, they replaced a much bigger fan that didn’t put out 1/2 the air. 1 thing to note, the rod is 1/2” which is smaller than standard. I had to get some 1/2” black pipe from Home Depot and drill holes in the ends for the pins. Note the blades are metal, they will scalp you if you mount them too low. All in all I am very satisfied with my purchase, I hope they last.
