I used Q-8 log oil on my log cabin (camp) because it was highly recommended by the person who sold the material for it's construction. He had a log home and said this was by far the best product to use. He was absolutely right. It is so easy to apply and creates a beautiful, lasting finish. When I put my cedar dock in I treated the decking with another product. Big mistake! I sent an email to Outlast asking if they would recommend their product for that application. Not only did I get a reply, they asked me to call and talk about it. They highly recommended it for the decking and they were not wrong. The original wood preservative flaked off in less than one season. This oil soaks deep into the wood and stays there. I have found that water still beads up on the surface even after an entire season of being exposed to the sun and water from the lake. Just simply an amazing product. Seriously. You would be foolish to use anything else. It does EXACTLY what they claim it does. Love this log oil and would never consider using anything else after seeing the results. You will not be dissapointed!
