OK, so I'm not really retiring my favorite leather jacket, but it is looking rather "distressed" and when I want to look nice (and I do clean up rather well!) I don't want my jacket to look like it came from a second hand store. A jacket I ordered from a well known leather chain, with a good brand, was just plain crap. So I tried this one and am pleasantly surprised. Fits well, looks fantastic, can wear to nice places, and it is nice an warm. OK, if it is 0 degrees you might want another layer underneath, but otherwise I am happy. My old jacket, from Jacque Penne', well that gets worn to the hardware store. It still has a special place in my heart and it will get used until it falls apart. But my new Amazon jacket -- well, I make this look good!I am certainly not disappointed with this jacket. For the price and by today's manufacturing standards it is pretty much what I could expect.The hide is definitely soft and supple. Although a bit thinner that what I expected and feels a little stretchy (synthetic-y(?). It is warm yet light. Great for Spring and Fall weather. The zip-out lining; I found annoying. I use my inside breast pocket often to carry my phone or slim wallet. The zip-out is not connected to the inside pocket itself which leaves a big gap between the two. I must have had my phone fall out between the lining and pocket 3 times before I finally removed the lining altogether as to avoid causing severe damage to my $800 device. The fit is pretty good and the jacket itself is very comfortable...BUT what's with the collar??? Yikes! - Super 70s' wide!!! The collar dimensions must not be tailored for each individual size. I ordered Small and the collar looks like it would be more appropriate for a large. Nevertheless....As tempting as it is; I will refrain from even remotely comparing my circa 80s' (still near perfect after 30+) Berman Buckskin Leather Bomber with this new purchase.....The Reed is still a decent buyEDIT: Update -Upgrading this review for the Reed men's Bomber leather jacket to 5 stars. Having worn it for a couple of weeks I'm really liking it now that it's a little broken in. Although my opinion regarding the liner and ridiculously large collar (for a small) remain un-waivered. Awesome jacket.Although I rarely buy clothing without trying it on first, I'm very impressed with the fit of this jacket. It is exactly what I was looking for (except for color). I was looking for black but ti wasn't available at the time of purchase. The brown that i bought was not the same color as in the online phote but it is a perfect dark brown.This black leather bomber was exactly what I needed.Best style and quality. I will buy it again. I took the time to measure my waist, chest and arm length, used the size chart and it fits exactly as I expected. The quality of the leather is really nice. The jacket is not a lightweight garment, as one would expect in a heavier leather jacket. My only issue was in removing the inner lining. It zips on and off. It also has a number of inner buttons to help keep the lining in place. One of the cloth loops that the button fits in detached. A couple of stitches and 5 minutes took care of the issue. I haven't had it long enough to see if this is a persistent issue - I hope not. In any event, I like the jacket and I am sure it will serve me well for years to come. I would have easily given it 5 stars if it wern't for the liner button loop issue.very stylish leather jacket and according to the seller is napa leather. when I looked it up, I found information that said Napa leather is a higher quality leather than just sheepskin, its supposed to be instead Goatskin or kid leather. the jacket has only one inner pocket which makes it a bit inconvient but I had a second inner pocket put on the right inner side. For the price it is well worth it given the sharp style. but keep in mind it is genuine leather. this was what concerned me when I ordered it how good and authentic of quality of leather is it. I was impressed, but buying a leather jacket in store is a lot different than buying online.very nice jacket. only disappointments were that we thought it would be heavier, and tag said made in china. I thought reed leather made their products in the u.s.a.Fit perfectly looks greatI am very pleased with with the jacket.
