I have a 25 year old Fagor pressure cooker almost exactly like this one. Once you get past your fear of pressure cookers, it is a joy to own and use. A whole chicken in 30 minutes. Potatoes (diced) in 6 minutes. Whole artichokes in 4 minutes. I’m replacing mine because the bottom handle is getting loose and I’m tired of tightening the screw every time I use it. —- It’s OK — it’s done it’s job well and I’m willing to buy a new one. I cannot recommend these highly enough. There are many wonderful cookbooks out there too — I particularly love Lorna Sass’ books — she is an authority with comprehensive recipes and charts for cooking everything: vegetables, meats & grains. She’s in the Amazon book section too. Commit yourself to learning this wonderful tool — forget the silly hybrids (Instant-Pot versions) and go with the real deal.
