I'm in the process of doing a fair amount of work on my '98 Jeep TJ with the 4.0L engine and need to replace the oil pan. I ordered an OMIX-ADA pan through Amazon and it arrived damaged. East Coast Jeeps sent me a replacement and didn't' want the first one back which says something about how much these crappy pans actually cost. The replacement pan was garbage and didn't fit so I ordered this pan. This pan is also garbage and not worth the headache or the money. You need to remove the exhaust cross-over pipe to replace the oil pan so it's not a job that you want to do over so buy the quality OEM pan. Unlike the factory pan there are no baffles inside the Crown Automotive version. The drain plug threads into a cheap spot welded boss compared to the welded nut on the OEM pan. In addition, there appears to be a major crease/crack/defect in this pan. It's going back for sure! I've finally had enough of ordering garbage oil pans so ordered a MOPAR pan from factorymoparparts dot net for $220. It's pricey but it's the only way to get a quality part. For the record, the pan shown looks like an OEM pan but the one you receive is nothing like it.
