I'm a veteran pool contractor with over 40 years' experience I have used PVC pipe cutters in the past and was disappointed.Because I teach courses on pool plumbing in my industry, I circled back to this type of cutter as an alternative method for cutting PVC for teaching my students.I am super happy with its performance.I purchased the TC4QPVC model and an extra blade.It makes a nice, even clean cut. You will absolutely have to use a chamfer tool to remove the sharp edge on the pipe. I use a chamfer tool for any cutting so it's not specific to this tool.Neglecting using the chamfer tool can result in a poor glue joint.This is a heavy-duty sturdy tool and I hope to get many uses out of it.I highly recommend this to any contractor cutting and glueing PVC pipe.UPDATE: I purchased a storage case for my 12" model.
