I love this olive oil. It's a bit pricier, but it's worth it. It has a nice peppery taste and it's fresh. The first time I bought this brand, it became clear that I had been using rancid olive oil, which I know is a problem here in the US. It's been reported that the olive manufacturers in Italy and Spain have been known to send their less-fresh inventory to the US, because most Americans don't know the difference. Once I tasted Calivirgin, I believed this report. And the gallon refill for the bottle is a terrific way to keep it economical. Very happy.Found this company while on a trip a few years ago and immediately became a club member. It is the only extra virgin olive oil I use.I use this olive oil for everything. Cooking, dressings, baking etc. I am so pleased to help support a family from USA where I live. I used to get my olive oil from Italy. I personally feel this oil stands up to any of the other brands of light olive oil. The light delicate flavor and clarity is wonderful.
