First off, let me just say that I live in a place where getting disposable filters for my Harley presents some challenges. There are no Harley dealers in country and so I have to order all my parts from overseas. For me a reusable filter makes sense. I am very pleased with this one, it is nicely machined, sturdily made out of good materials and the knurling and anodizing give it a vintage race bike look that is appealing to me. Is it the best in terms of filtration? I doubt it. But at least now, when changing the oil I'll be taking the filter apart to clean it and will be able to monitor the type and quantity of contaminants I find, which will help give me a better idea of overall engine condition.
