The Beckett AquaSmart is a universal boiler control designed for use on residential and light commercial boiler systems. All models include the option of Beckett HeatManager dynamic temperature reset that, when selected, provides up to 20% fuel consumption savings.
I replaced the existing Honeywell Aquastat in about 15-20 minutes using the direct replacement guide. This worked fine with my Taco controller. Since then I have gone back and put the indirect water heater under the direct control of the aquastat which frees up a spot on my controller and I believe it allows the Aquasmart to keep the pump running for a few minutes after the call for heat is removed. This puts the remaining heat in the boiler to use.
