I've tried the rest, but Toshiba drives are best! I was shocked by how badly brand-new drives from Seagate and WD performed; both failing catastrophically within a year or so of purchase. But the Toshes (I now have two new Toshiba high capacity HDDs in a desktop PC) have been no trouble at all. Maybe I'm getting old and my hearing is less acute, but I don't know what some folk here are complaining about when it comes to noise. Both drives are effectively silent in operation, just making occasional light clicking sounds when reading and writing. The volume is perfectly acceptable, and I prefer the audial reassurance that the drives are operating. This is a fast, reliable drive, and you should buy it!
